Founded in 2008, Defending America's Defenders (DAD) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to the noble cause of supporting our nation's heroes - the homeless and at-risk veterans. We believe in a future where every veteran has a stable place to call home and the resources they need to thrive in the community they once served.

Our work extends to supporting veteran shelters and organizing special events, like holiday support programs, to bring cheer to those who have served our nation.
Understanding the Risk Factors
Veterans face unique challenges that can put them at risk of homelessness. Understanding these factors is key to our approach, which includes support for those with an Honorable/General Discharge who are at risk of or currently experiencing homelessness.
